ZTE Blade A6 Max

Introduction

After releasing the Premium version last year, ZTE went ahead to release the ZTE Blade A6 Max at the 2018 Mobile World Congress. The device is more of a budget smartphone though with reduced specs compared to the initial version.

The A6 Max comes with a standard 2GB RAM, 16GB Storage, a massive 4000mAh battery and retails like a budget smartphone.

Display

It sports three navigation buttons at the bottom bezel, the device isn’t bezel-less in anywhere. Although it has tiny narrow bezels, but the top and bottom bezel is pretty much dramatic and almost everywhere.

Focusing on the screen now, the 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen is sharp for its price. Boasting of 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution and 267 pixel per inch density. Furthermore, the screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio and reaches 72.61% screen to body ratio.

Hardware and Software

Behind the scene is the Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 chip from Qualcomm. It has a 64-bit CPU architecture and an Octa-core processor which reaches a maximum speed of 1.1 GHz. In the graphics department, the Qualcomm Adreno 304 processor is in charge and clocks at 400MHz with 28nm process technology.

Multitask through apps with just 2GB of RAM, boasting of a memory speed of 533MHz for fast app launching as well. In terms of storage, 16GB storage space is available to accommodate all files, you can always upgrade up to 32GB if you want. The Blade A6 Max runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with MiFavor 4.2 skin.

Camera

The 8MP rear camera on the A6 Max is just like every other 8MP camera, capturing just 3K resolution images. Although it comes with a dual-LED flash and other in-camera features but image dimensions won’t exceed 3266 x 2449 pixels. You can take selfies and make video calls in the dark with the 5MP selfie camera that comes with a front flash as well.

Battery

Powering the ZTE Blade A6 Max is a 4000mAh non-removable Li-Po battery with no fast charging technology. Even without the fast charging feature, it shouldn’t take more than 2.5 hours to fully charge up the battery from 0% to 100%.
